SUMMER PROGRAM

The summer program will include academic lectures, workshops, and masterclasses, allowing students to enhance their knowledge and skills. In addition, participants will immerse themselves in cultural and leisure experiences, fostering personal development and creativity.

Summer Program CMH Paris :
The Secret World of French Luxury Hospitality

Presentation

The two-week Summer Program offered by CMH offers students a complete immersion into the luxury hotel industry in Paris, the world capital of refinement and excellence. This program will allow students to discover the behind-the-scenes workings of the most prestigious hotels, meet industry professionals, and learn the secrets of high-end service, a central element of luxury hospitality in France.

Students will have the opportunity to :

  • Visit iconic hotels: Discover Parisian palaces and luxury hotels and understand the elements that make them famous.

  • Meet experts: Speak with hotel managers, front of house chefs, and maîtres d’hôtel to understand the demands and subtleties of luxury service.

  • Participate in masterclasses: Become familiar with luxury hospitality standards and acquire essential skills to advance in this demanding sector.

  • Take culinary workshops: Learn the techniques of French haute cuisine during practical sessions led by Michelin-starred chefs.

  • Immerse yourself in Parisian culture: Explore iconic Parisian neighborhoods and discover how local culture is reflected in the luxury hospitality industry.

This program will allow students to understand what makes France the ultimate destination for luxury and gastronomy, while offering them a unique experience that will open the doors to a career in this prestigious sector..

Cible

Students aged 18 to 22 with a strong aspiration to work in the luxury hotel industry, and eager to train in an environment renowned for its know-how and excellence.

Courses content

Week 1 

Day 1 – Arrival in Paris
Welcome to the City of Lights! Students settle into residence in the afternoon, receive their transport tickets and settle into their rooms. A welcome meeting provides them with key information about the week ahead. Free evening, with the possibility of group dinner for those who wish to start the program with a warm and Parisian atmosphere.

Day 2 – Welcome to CMH Paris
Official welcome day at CMH Paris, with tour of the campus, discovery of French luxury hotels and presentations of the programs. Afternoon: team-building treasure hunt in Paris. Evening: optional convivial moment in a typical Parisian bar.

Day 3 – Workshop and palace visit
Morning: first academic session in oenology and wine sciences. Afternoon: exclusive visit to a Parisian palace (example: the Ritz), with guided tour and professional presentation of luxury service standards. Free evening.

Day 4 – Workshop and Masterclass Protocol
. Morning: workshop on French etiquette and protocol. Afternoon: visit to another palace (example: the Hôtel de Crillon), to discover how Parisian excellence is shaped in world-renowned establishments. Free evening.

Day 5 – Art of living and design in luxury hotels
Morning: “Art and art of living in the hotel industry” workshop. Afternoon: visit to a lifestyle boutique hotel (example: La Fantaisie), to discover how contemporary design and customer experience are being redefined in today’s market.

Day 6 – The history of the Parisian hotel industry
Morning: workshop on the history of Parisian hotels. Afternoon: visit to another charming hotel (example: Hoxton), combining heritage and modernity. Free evening.

Days 7 and 8 – Free days in Paris 

Full days to explore Paris independently or take part in optional tours such as Versailles, cultural tours or culinary experiences.

 

Week 2 

Day 9 – Gastronomy and Bistronomy
Morning: workshop on French gastronomy and bistronomy. Afternoon: visit to another hotel of an international group (example: Pullman Montparnasse). Free evening.

Day 10 – Innovation in luxury hotels 
Morning: workshop on new trends in the hotel industry. Afternoon: visit to a third hotel of an international group. Free evening.

Day 11 – Final project and closing ceremony 
Morning: Final project presentations, where students present their learning and receive feedback. Afternoon: certificate ceremony, farewell cocktail and evening. An elegant closing celebration to conclude this Parisian experience.

Day 12 – Departure
Last breakfast at the residence, release of the premises and goodbye. Students leave Paris with memories, skills and friendships that will last a lifetime.

London Hospitality Experience

Presentation

This two-week Summer School in London allows participants to discover the world of hospitality through hands-on experiences and lessons in hotel management, catering, event planning, and marketing. In addition to acquiring key skills, students will have the opportunity to explore London and its iconic landmarks, providing a complete immersion in this dynamic sector.

Students will have the opportunity to:

Discover the world of hospitality in London: Dive into the challenges and opportunities of the sector in the British capital, one of the most dynamic cities in terms of hospitality.

Meet experts: Students will have the opportunity to meet luxury hotel managers, hotel marketing specialists, event planners, and industry professionals.

Participate in masterclasses: Learn the fundamentals of hotel management, catering, and marketing in London.

Enjoy a unique cultural experience: Immerse yourself in the cultural and social richness of London, while discovering its iconic landmarks.

Courses content

Week 1 

Day 1 – Arrival and welcome:
The students arrive in London and settle into the residence. The afternoon is devoted to installation, presenting the program and meeting the other students. An optional evening group dinner sets the stage for two weeks of culinary and hospitality discovery.

Day 2 – Welcome and orientation day.
The first academic day begins with a warm welcome, a presentation of the program and a guided tour of the campus. After a welcome lunch, the afternoon is dedicated to team building activities and a stimulating orientation workshop. The evening ends with a friendly meeting, allowing students to build relationships in a friendly atmosphere.

Day 3 – Workshop and meeting with a hotel manager.
Morning classes present the fundamentals of hospitality and luxury management. In the afternoon, students benefit from an exclusive meeting with a London hotel manager, allowing them to experience first-hand the realities of the hospitality sector in a world capital.

Day 4 – Workshop and visit to innovative concept.
After the morning workshop, students explore one of London’s innovative hospitality concepts. This test tour highlights how creativity and forward-thinking ideas are shaping the future of the food, beverage and hospitality industries.

Day 5 – Workshop and Tea Bus-Restaurant.
The morning workshop deepens academic knowledge. In the afternoon, students enjoy a unique experience: a visit to a London Tea Bus-Restaurant, combining tradition and culinary modernity, a perfect reflection of the cosmopolitan spirit of London.

Day 6 – Workshop and meeting with a chef.
Morning workshops continue with further case studies and discussions. In the afternoon, students meet a renowned chef, a specialist in fusion cuisine. This meeting, both inspiring and concrete, reveals how culinary creativity can create bridges between cultures.

Days 7 and 8 – Free weekend in London 

The weekend is free to allow students to explore the city at their own pace. From world-famous markets like Borough Market to Michelin-starred restaurants, London offers an endless source of inspiration for fans of hospitality and gastronomy. Optional excursions to Oxford, Cambridge or Windsor are also offered.

 

Week 2 

Day 9 – Workshop and hotel visit
The second week begins with a workshop dedicated to luxury service standards. In the afternoon, students visit a prestigious London hotel and get a behind-the-scenes look at a world-class hotel.

Day 10 – Workshop, restaurant visit and mixology session.
The morning begins with lessons preparing students for their final projects, focusing on the business model and customer experience. In the afternoon, students participate in a hands-on mixology workshop, where professional bartenders teach them the art of creating cocktails, a creative blend of hospitality and innovation.

Day 11 – Final presentations and closing celebration.
The morning is dedicated to final presentations of group projects, where students showcase their creativity and team spirit. The official closing ceremony follows, with the presentation of certificates to all participants. The day ends with a farewell party, an unforgettable celebration of London’s achievements, friendship and memories.

Day 12 – Departure.
The students leave the residence and say their goodbyes. They leave London with new knowledge, new skills, international friendships and unforgettable memories of their summer stay at CMH.
